Cancellation Policy:
Club registration fee of $35 is non-refundable. Should you need to cancel, this amount will be donated to the Douglas/Elbert Task Force.

Hotel reservations are NON-REFUNDABLE, but trip insurance is available at the time of booking. Please read carefully as the Club will not be responsible for any lodging cancellation fees.

The details for the Steamboat weekend are coming together. If you are interested in attending, please read this email carefully and act quickly.

 

We are staying at the Wyndham Trailhead Lodge in Steamboat Springs (https://www.wyndhamvacationrentals.com/promotion/village-idiots-cycling-club).   The per night rates (plus 18.6% tax) are as follows:

 

Studio – 2 nights weekend $194, 4 nights $178;

1 bedroom – 2 nights weekend $237, 4 nights $203;

2 bedroom – 2 nights weekend $288, 4 nights $245,

3 bedroom- 2 nights weekend $347, 4 nights $305. 

IMPORTANT: At the time of booking, a one night NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is due. Final NON-REFUNDABLE payment in full is due 30 days prior to the event. If the NON-REFUNDABLE is an issue for you, there is trip insurance available at the time you purchase the room. Read the lodging agreement carefully.


 

Here is a rough agenda:

 

  • Thursday September - Club member arrivals and check in. No rides planned.
  • Friday September 15 - Club member arrivals and check in. Mid-day moderate distance.  Dinner for those arriving in time.
  • Saturday September 16 - Morning ride; lunch and refresh; time on town; Club dinner.
  • Sunday September 17  -  Morning ride; lunch and refresh; time on town; Club dinner.
  • Monday September 18 -  Morning ride; refresh and checkout.

The Club's Social Committee will be making reservations for meals once we have our group set.  All meals will be paid individually at the end of the meal.


The Club's Cycling Committee will provide ride options for both experienced and novice riders.  The Steamboat area provides many ride options and it is a beautiful time to be exploring by bike! 
 

 

A $35 Club fee/donation is due at registration.  A portion will be used for ride water and snacks, as well as fuel to transport our trailer with bikes - first come first served as there are 12 spots.  Any remainder will be donated to the Douglas/Elbert Task Force. This fee is non-refundable if you cancel.

To attend the VIC² Annual Weekend getaway:

 

  1. Register and pay your Club fee here:  Steamboat Weekend Adventure  Each Club member attending will need to register individually and pay the $35.   For non-riding companions, they are welcome to attend and enjoy sightseeing in the area during our morning rides, as well as join us for the other Club meals and activities.
  2. Look at the registration list to see if there are others you'd like to share a multi-bedroom unit...contact to coordinate.
  3. Book your room as indicated above. Again, note the non-refundable policy and trip insurance provisions. 
  4. Email VIC² Email and confirm your hotel room is booked.
  5. Bring a smile and expectation for a lot of fun!
Note that non-riding guests do not need to register. However, if you would like to bring a riding companion, they are required to register as a member companion.
